As each of the six new light rail stations starts to take shape, the station artists are hard at work behind the scenes preparing the artwork that will make each station unique. Each artist, selected by their station city based on their experience and concept, is developing artwork that will represent the history and culture of their station's surroundings and community. In this video you will meet the station artist for the future Monrovia station. For more travel videos visit us online at http://www.itsmylife365.com The name Monrovia, Liberia almost conjures up terrifying images doesn't it? When we think of Monrovia we might think of shellings, urban warfare, cars rolling around full of child solderis, etc. However, I found Monrovia to be quite pleasant. Despite the United Nation's eventual intervention, most of Liberia's young people continue to live in abject poverty, surrounded by filth, drug addiction, and teenage prostitution.
